Class Descriptions
Grades Kindergarten through Four
This after-school class for the elementary age group focuses on introduction to food prep essentials, such as measuring and slicing, increased independence, and safety in the kitchen. Students also learn the various cultural traditions/celebrations, as well as food origins, associated with the recipes and crafts created in class.
Grades Five through Nine
Our ‘tween/young teen class introduces more advanced kitchen essentials and cooking techniques, such as proper tool use and food prep safety.Students also explore various world cuisines and cross-cultural connections through ingredients utilized.The craft portion of the class is omitted, but students use their creativity in food presentation and in customizing recipes
